Ms. Vinograd is a public policy and strategic communications professional. She began her career in Baghdad working for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and subsequently served on President Obama’s National Security Council as the Director for Iraq, Director for International Economics, and Senior Advisor to the National Security Advisor. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2013 where her work focused on building public – private sector partnerships across a broad range of policy and business issues. She now leads Global Public Policy at Stripe.
Samantha received her B.A. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
She is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Public Policy Institute, a David E. Rockefeller Fellow at the Trilateral Commission, a Millennium Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and an advisor to the Next Generation Board of the U.S. Holocaust Museum, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Friends of the American University of Afghanistan, World of Children, and the Concordia Summit. She is a regular contributor to Marie Claire and has published and been featured in several outlets including the New York Times, CNN, Newsweek, USA Today, Harper’s Bazaar, Politico, and Fox News. She is fluent in French and proficient in Arabic and Hebrew. She contributes regularly to MSNBC and CNN on air as well as other outlets.
